~ Bodedern Ath 2 - 0 Cemaes Bay ~

After a last gasp win on Thursday night, the Green Army entertained our in form neighbours Cemaes Bay at Cae Ty Cristion.
Suspensions and injuries on Saturday meant we only had 12 available players for the derby, but that 12 took the Bay apart in great fashion.
As expected, tackles were flying in from the first whistle, on 10 minutes a bad challenge on Gary-Jo by Cemaes's No.4, resulted in Gary retaliating, with no other choice the ref gave him his marching orders.
Boded down to 10, it was backs to the wall now you may think but the Green Army had other ideas as talisman Ryan Taylor was a menace throughout. On 21 minutes, a corner on the right saw Ryan swing the ball in, only for it to go over the keeper and into the back of the net, 1-0 Boded.
Cemaes had more of the ball for the rest of the half, but lacked in the final third as the backline of Boded mopped up superbly.

HT- Bodedern Ath 1 - 0 Cemaes Bay.

Second half started with the away side on the front foot, but couldn't find a way through as Boded looked dangerous on the break.
Ryan and Dan Owen found themselves through on goal, 2 v 1, but the final ball was poor and the chance went begging.
Cemaes threw everything at the home side but Taylor had other ideas as he ran at them, his pace caused problems for Cemaes as their centre-half brought him down outside the box, and was harshly red carded for the foul. 5 mins later Taylor was at it again, only this time he was fouled in the box, the ref had no option but to point to the spot.
Up stepped skipper Barry Jones to finish with ease, 85 min, 2 - 0.

FT- Bodedern Ath 2 - 0 Cemaes Bay.

M.O.M. - Luke Challinor.

A fantastic 3pts for Boded, and with other results going our way, we go top of the league.
It wasn't the best of games but a clean sheet against a high scoring Cemaes Bay is impressive.

Next up, Intermediate Cup Quarter Final against Talysarn Celts next week.
Kick Off 1.30 pm.
