~ Bodedern Ath 3 - 1 Bro Goronwy ~

Boded went into this local derby against Bro Goronwy wanting to show what we can really do and we certainly did that on a very boggy surface, although hard work was put in to make the game playable.

We started off on the front foot and went ahead on 3 minutes as Ryan Taylor scampered down the left beating the full back before whipping a great ball in, and Dan Owen connected on the volley from 16 yards and it flew into the top corner.
We didn`t slow down after this as we were looking dangerous every-time we broke and the 2nd came on 23 minutes as Dan was the provider this time, he beat 2 or 3 Bro players before releasing the ball to top scorer Matthew Jones who made no mistake and finished well to double our lead, Matthews 30th goal of the season.
New signing Craig Moore impressed and gave their full-back a torrid first half and was a real menace, as we carried on flying forward, but the final ball was lacking at times.
The away side grew into the game as the half wore on and their young winger Callum Thomas created us numerous problems with his trickery and pace, he pulled one back on 41 minutes as his cross come shot creeped in past home goalie Tomos Jones.

The 2nd half started the same as the 1st with us breaking at pace and looking dangerous as Ryan was causing havoc at every opportunity and it was him who beat the full back again and delivered another great cross for substitute Shaun Jenkins to finish to make it 3 - 1.
We were the team that carried on pressing as Dan, Matthew and Connor Roberts all went close, as Bro didn`t really threaten the home goal.
Boded closed the game out to win 3 - 1 and gain a good 3 points.

M.O.M. – Dan Owen

We were superb today all over the park to be fair, 1st to everything and pushed Bro back all game, the lads did everything asked of them and delivered. Well done.
