We welcomed Waunfawr to Cae Ty Cristion on Saturday, probably the 1st ever meeting between both Clubs. Looking to put a run of wins together after the impressive away win at Menai Bridge Tigers last week, it all went wrong for Boded in the 2nd half on Saturday.

We started brightly and played some good stuff early on. With 7 mins gone we got our rewards as a corner by young Jordan Taylor was met by brother Ryan with a bullet header into the roof of the net.
After this we dominated for the next 30 mins as Gary-Jo, Ryan and Jordan were denied by some excellent goalkeeping by the Waunfawr stopper, as we should really have been 2 or 3 up by now.
We pulled our foot off the gas in the final 10 minutes of the half as Waun squandered a couple of decent chances but Bryn saved well.

HT - Bodedern Ath 1 - 0 Waunfawr.

We started slowly in the 2nd half and were made to pay as the visitors equalised on 51 minutes but things got even worse. On 70 minutes Waun went ahead with a controversial goal, as No.11 Tomos Owen clearly handled the ball into the net, but the ref failed to see it.
Now pushing for an equaliser our No.8 James Williams put in a fair tackle on the half-way line, that led to Waun`s fullback grabbing him by the neck, James retaliated and was red carded for his actions, but their fullback escaped even a caution, after raising a hand to everyone’s amazement.
There was one final chance for Boded as Casey went past the centre-half to go through on goal, but his shot was too close to the keeper, and he saved well.

A poor result after dominating the 1st half, our third narrow 2-1 defeat, but we need to start taking the chances we create.
