Saturday afternoon we hosted league leaders Glan Conwy and they certainly showed why, as they pinned us back for most of the game but without really troubling keeper Kenny Jones.

The 1st half started with us on the front foot as we have been in recent weeks and Ricky Jones went on his trademark run down the right hand side and beat the fullback with ease before crossing in a great ball for Steven “Tyco” Whittaker to head home after only 2 minutes. The early goal swung Glan into life as their quick approach play was causing panic for Boded as only some last ditch defending stopped them equalizing, before the goal came on 32 minutes as Glan Conwy’s captain, no.5 Shaun Shannon headed home at the back post.
It was now game on as both teams went at it, before we went ahead again on 38 minutes as Ricky`s shot was only parried away to the on rushing Shaun Jenkins who slotted home his 8th of the season.

HT - Bodedern Ath 2 - 1 Glan Conwy

Lads were asked to settle down and get there foot on the ball in the 2nd half but Glan Conwy’s work rate was stopping us do that, as their relentless closing down upset our rhythm.
We were pinned back for most of the half, we defended resolutely as the visitors couldn`t muster a clear opportunity for a goal, Boded saw through the 2nd half to register a great win.

A tough game against a good side and 4 wins on the trot as we march on.
Ricky Williams - “We weren’t at it today going forward as we were sloppy in possession but credit to the lads they dug in and grinded it out. To win and not being near our best is very satisfying”.
