Holyhead Town were the mid week visitors to Cae Cob and went on the attack immediately and after 5 minutes Barry Haigh latched onto a weak back pass to convert. Holyhead prompted by midfielder Tom Roberts continued to press and a slick move on 15 minutes saw Haigh again firing home .Josh Roberts in the home goal was kept busy and on 20 minutes he produced a great save as he tipped over Leeroy Parry's tremendous attempt.On 25 minutes the Juniors at last attacked and from a corner Carwyn Griffiths was bundled over and Cai Jones firmly slotted the penalty into the corner of the net. The Juniors should have consolidated but the midfield went to sleep on 30 minutes as Jackie Welsh and Luke Fleming created a chance for Haigh to get his hat trick.Within two minutes Holyhead went further ahead as Luke Fleming drove home from ten yards. The Juniors ended the half by attacking but Eliot Smith was equal to the task.Half Time 1v4. The second half saw the match develop in much the same way with Holyhead attacking while the Juniors had sporadic breakaways and efforts .The Juniors gave Dion Jones ,Gethin Owen and Marcus Rowlands a piece of the action in the second half whilst Holyhead followed suit by giving Tom Hadley Jack Hughes and Tristan Hughes a run out. On 70 minutes Barry Haigh was on hand again to slot home his fourth goal which went in off the post.On 75 minutes Fleming scored his second to make it 1v6 .The Juniors kept going and created half chances but Smith easily dealt with the attempts. Tom Roberts bossed the game in the first half while Jackie Welsh created cleverly for Haigh who finished his chances in lethal fashion and he deservedly was man of the match. For the Juniors keeper Josh Roberts was heroic.
