The Juniors then had a spate of attacks and on 40 minutes inter play between Jake Hughes and Iwan Parry resulted in Iwan Parry creating space and firing home a great shot.Half Time 2v2. The Juniors with better composure might well have been ahead at the break and on chances edged the half. The second half saw Llangoed playing neat football and on 48 minutes Owen Roberts fired in a good team effort .On 52 minutes Wayne Thomas was on hand to fire home.On 55 minutes Craig Jones headed home an effort from a free kick. Llangoed had a blistering start to the second period while the Juniors lost key defenders through injury which upset the balance of the team. Llangoed should have gone further ahead as they squandered chances which enabled the Juniors to gain confidence and Marcus Rowlands had a good run and shot at goal while Elliot Patterson created a chance that Rowlands should have converted. On 73 minutes Craig Jones headed home from a corner. The Juniors continued to fight to the end and created a couple of half chances which were squandered. On 84 minutes Wayne Thomas completed the scoring for Llangoed as again he fired home after neat play from midfield.Final score 2v7 .Jamie Roberts was man of the match for Llangoed as he prompted play from midfield and Josh Roberts the home keeper had a fine match for the Juniors. The Juniors first half display was the best they've given this season but injuries plus Llangoed's better passing prooved too good in the second half. Both teams look forward to Dargie Cup action next week!
