Clinical Bulls Win Day!

Wasteful Juniors Miss Out!

On a damp afternoon the Juniors hosted Bryngwran Bulls. From the off there were end to end chances as Iwan Parry went close for the Juniors on 4 minutes while on 12 minutes Dylan Jones headed the Bulls ahead from a corner. The Juniors marking was best described as poor.On 23 minutes Andrew Bailey again headed home from a corner and once again the marking was non existent. The Juniors tried to get back into the match and Steven Hughes volley was well saved by Bulls keeper Gwynfor Williams. The Juniors laid siege to the Bulls goal but the away defence stood firm until the 35th minute when Iwan Parry fired a shot goalwards which the keeper could only fend away but Iwan Parry was on hand to tap in the rebound..The Bulls then had a period of pressure as the Juniors appeared to be second best in the challenges and on 40 minutes John Jones had the run of the wing to travel into the Juniors penalty box and he fired home. The Juniors went upfield and Iwan Parry from a free kick blasted a shot which clipped the crossbar and went over .Half Time 1v3.The Juniors at the start of the second half pressed forward and Elliot Patterson headed wide on 50 minutes then Luke Allaway fired wide on 54 minutes. The Bulls went upfield and gained a corner from which Arwyn Williams netted again the marking was poor from the Juniors. On 58 minutes Luke Allaway shot wide and Iwan Parry on 65 minutes fired a right foot shot goalwards but the ball rebounded off the post to safety. On 75 minutes Nathan Lewis for the Bulls cut inside from the left and fired home.On 78 minutes Allaway again dragged his shot wide.Cameron Owen tried to create for the Juniors and was the star man while Dylan Jones was man of the match for the Bulls. However Nathan Lewis had the final say as he slotted home in the 86th minute to complete the scoring. The Juniors had plenty of opportunities to score but the Bulls strikers were more clinical, the Juniors had periods of good football being played from midfield but they were inconsistent and had periods where they were overrun as well. The marking at corners certainly needs work ,plenty to work on for the Juniors before the Bulls return in the Lucas Oil cup in a fortnight.
