Cybi superior passing gains result!
Caergybi visited Cae Cob on a showery afternoon. They started off well and soon got their passing game going but the Juniors again with depleted ranks held firm and soaked up much pressure. The Juniors raids into the Cybi half were selective and Allaway had a couple of long range efforts go wide whilst Cybi although their approach play was good could not find the target. On 22 minutes the Juniors came close as Carwyn Griffiths struck a long range effort which clipped the post and went wide. On 28 minutes Ryan went close for Cybi whilst Thomas went close several times as well. The half appeared to be goalless until Ryan popped up on 43 minutes to place home a well taken effort. Half Time 0v1 . The Juniors opened brightly but Cybi soon got to grips with their passing and Liam Williams was pivotal in all the play. On 52 minutes he struck from distance to double the score. On 55 minutes Luke McKittrick again pounced on a defensive error to score. The Juniors kept going and Allaway had long range efforts but Williams in the Cybi midfield controlled the match and on 63 minutes Ryan scored from a header. Cybi extended their lead as the depleted Juniors tired and Michael Owen slotted home on 70 minutes. On 75 minutes Liam Williams again scored to complete the scoring as Cybi ran out 0v6 winners. Williams for Cybi starred but the Juniors had good individual performances notably from Gareth Roberts and Nathan Evans. The Juniors can look back at a good first half performance but individual errors caused them to concede plus Liam Williams's ace performance in the second half gained the points.
