In the forwards, Nick Holmes has been spoilt for choice and has made the tough decision to replace Nick Sandbrook with Alex Youngman and give the extra available spot to Louis Critchlow who unfortunately missed the Hawcoat Park game on 12th April. Teamed with the likes of Chris Mee who has been ever present in the front row, Tony McLaughlin, Ash Cooper and Rick Newman it gives Bolton possibly their strongest forward unit of the season.
There is a similar story in the back division with more hard decisions having been made. Mark Doherty returns to the side in place of Spencer Pettitt and with vice-captain Dave Bruen and this seasons’ top try scorer Will Bate making up the centres the Cherry & Whites are looking strong from 1-19. Rhys Pritchard retains his place in the side after coming through the Hawcoat game unscathed and Liam Ray remains in the match day 19 after two tries in the same game.
However Holmes decides to line up his starting XV, he will be comfortable in the knowledge that he has some quality players on the bench that will only bolster his sides’ chances of securing promotion.
Your support will be greatly needed this Saturday at Avenue Street with Northwich expected to travel with 100+ spectators. Whatever you have planned this Saturday, get it cancelled and come down to watch YOUR club as it attempts to make history.
Kick-off is 3pm and the game will be officiated by Robert Sheard of the Manchester & District Referee’s Society. He will be assisted by Stephen Snoddy & Tim Spiers on the touchlines and Graham Butler will be in attendance as 4th official.
