Boston United kick-off a busy Bank Holiday weekend with a home fixture against fellow high-flyers North Ferriby United on Saturday afternoon.

The Pilgrims, currently boasting one of only two 100 percent records in Vanarama Conference North, entertain the Villagers who sit one place and two points further back in third.

Boston are gunning for a fourth straight win at the start of a season for the first time since 1999 when they eventually went on to win the Dr Martens League.

Manager Dennis Greene is likely to welcome back midfielder Jamie McGhee following a hamstring injury, while international clearance is still being chased to make goalkeeper Matt Gledhill available for selection.

Injured duo Jay Dowie and Marc Newsham are the only two definite absentees for Greene’s side.

Opponents Ferriby opened with a 1-0 win at Stockport County, a 3-0 home victory over Hyde FC and a 2-2 home draw against Gloucester City.

They are captained by former Pilgrim Matt Wilson, while ex-United winger Jamie Yates could be involved too despite missing the first three matches of the season.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 2-0 in United’s favour, with McGhee and Ricky Miller on target.

Saturday’s match referee is Declan Ford and kick-off is at 3.00pm.

Match coverage will be available via @bostonunited on Twitter.
