County Recognition for Bournville

Avery Fields has been "selected"....

Bournville Rugby Club are proud to announce that the new Avery Fields ground has been selected by the full North Midlands County side to host their Bill Beaumont County Championship match against Notts, Lincs and Derby on Saturday May 18th 2019 kicking off at 3pm.

The side will also be training at the ground in preparation.

In addition, Greater Birmingham are playing Shropshire in the Three Countries Championship kicking off under lights at Avery Fields at 7.45 on Wednesday 16th January 2019.

The North Midlands under 20s are also training at Avery Fields in preparation for their tournament later in the season.

Three of the clubs coaching staff are also involved with the county sides, Director of Rugby Dean Lewis is the senior forwards coach with Vince Harry and Mitch McGahan coaching the under 20s backs.

Club Chairman Mick Palmer commented "This is fantastic recognition for the club in its first season at their new ground, not only for our coaches, but the venue itself."
