Dear All,
Please allow me to introduce myself should you not know me. I am Pete Baldwin and I am the Child Welfare Officer here at Bowdon RUFC.
One of my duties is to ensure that all adults who have both direct and indirect contact with juveniles through the course of their involvement here at the club are suitability CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) accredited.
ANY C.R.B. APPLICATION THROUGH THE CLUB IS FREE.
Your valued role and support at the club may require you to be suitably accredited via the CRB process. If any individual has a previous CRB accreditation through any other organisation then a further CRB form MUST be completed through to the Rugby Football Union via myself here at the club.
In order to comply with the RFU's 'Club Seal of Approval' the Management Committee here at Bowdon RUFC have stipulated a strict policy regarding which individuals have to be CRB accredited in accordance with their role. - Compulsory accreditations include:
- The Management Committee themselves;
- The Club Steward and Assistant Steward;
- All individuals who hold a voluntary role as identified by the Management Committee
- Bar Staff;
- Kitchen Staff:
- Club captains and their respective vice captains;
and finally not forgetting
- All identified and registered Coaches from the Bowdon RUFC Mini and Junior sections irrespective of age group.
May I remind any individual who has an existing RFU CRB in place that it remains valid until three years from its date of issue.
Having reminded you that that CRB application process via the RFU is FREE here at the club. I will gladly support any application submitted through any parent, guardian or other individual who wishes to support and volunteer in any capacity during the forthcoming rugby season. CRB applications are available from myself, or in my absence from behind the bar.
We are currently approaching 100 individuals here at Bowdon RUFC who are in the CRB process. With the ever growing numbers within the Mini and Junior Rugby Section then certainly more will prove beneficial for the club as a whole as the season commences.
If you have any queries in relation to this matter please do not hesitate to contact me directly at Peter.baldwin@gmp.police.uk
Many thanks for your valued support.
Balders
