BPA gained revenge for their recent defeat at Bolton Woods with a 3-1 victory that effectively ended Bolton Woods promotion hopes.

BPA put in an impressive first half performance, the highlight being a terrific 25 yard drive from man of the match Lewis Wood that flew past the keeper into the net. For the rest of the half only the Bolton Woods keeper stood between BPA and an emphatic score line- producing a string of good saves, while at the other end the BPA backline stopped Bolton Woods having any serious goal attempts.

With the half time score being only 1-0 the worry was that BPA had failed to force home their advantage – these fears were realised when Bolton Woods scored early in the second half with a breakaway goal that was their first real shot on target. The next ten minutes were increasingly nervy but Kenny Tafireyi put BPA back in the lead forcing home a rebound after the Bolton Woods keeper had made an excellent save from a goal bound header.BPA soon added the third with the best move of the match Matin Hakimy releasing Tafireyi on the right whose lofted cross was acrobatically headed in by Lewis Wood. Conner Briscoe in the BPA net was forced into one diving save but BPA saw out the match to a well earned victory.

The result makes promotion a three horse race for the two promotion spots and if BPA were to win all their remaining games then promotion would be assured!
