Two members of Bracknell's U18 academy have been selected for the South West England U18's.

Jacob Atkins and Connor Hayhow were named in the 23 player squad following the final assessment day at Hartpury College on Sunday 30th November.

An initial squad of 30 players attended the day which comprised of a number of games followed by a physical match against Gloucester Academy, the selectors had to make the difficult decision as to which 23 players would progress to represent the South West counties.

Following their selection the players will join up with the squad in the new year and in February will attend a 3 day festival at Loughborough University where they will play matches against teams from North, Midlands and London & South East.

Following these games the England selectors will choose an England U18 schools and counties squad.

Both players attend school at St Paul's in Sunbury and are part of the London Irish AASE scheme.

Connor has progressed through the clubs mini and junior section with Bracknell since 2003 and Jacob since 2012 and both players have represented Berkshire at all age grades.

This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates the quality of the coaching at BRFC and the club wish both players the best of luck.

GOBRFC!
