Jacob Atkins and Connor Hayhow from the Bracknell U18’s squad won their first England caps for England Counties U18’s on Saturday evening against France Schools in the International tri-angular festival with France & Ireland Schools at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire.

16 year old Connor and Jacob, who is 17, are both playing up a year and Connor started the match at inside centre and was joined by Jacob at fly-half in the second half.

Despite an early French try, which they failed to convert, England responded with a converted try and went into half-time ahead 7-5. Despite each side having a number of attacks the scoreline remained the same as the final whistle went and England will now prepare for the game against Ireland schools on Saturday 4th April at 11am.
