Olympic Torch Festivities

Fantastic success. Huge turnout.

Hundreds of people descended on BRFC on Tuesday 10 July to see the Olympic Torch Relay progress up London Road.
The BBQ took more than £500 and a raffle for the spend-a-penny appeal raised almost £130. Thank you to all those who donated prizes.

We also had a photo opportunity with a REAL Olympic torch, a rugby session for the minis with Richard Hoskins and a tug-of-war challenge against the First XV ... who didn't have it all their own way!!

Many thanks for your support. PS. Does anyone know how to dry out 40 metres of Tug-of-War rope?
