Team Played: Bracknell 2 V Bicester 2
Bracknell Score: 7
Opposition Score: 1
Scorers: Peter Scott
Match Report: Bracknell's double header weekend in MBBO division five began with the visit to Birch Hill of Bicester. The previous meeting between these teams saw Bracknell claim a four one victory, and given the relative league positions between the teams it was no surprise that Bracknell took a two nil lead at half time, thanks to two goals from Peter Scott
. To only mention the goals though would do an injustice to Bicester who showed plenty of attacking intent early in the game. Their midfield supported the forwards in great measure and Bracknell found it difficult to compete against sheer weight of numbers.
In the second half, the home side really showed their class, tucking away five goals, whilst Bicester got the goal that their earlier attacking efforts deserved. As ever, it was Peter Scott
, ably supported by older brother Tom who took the game to Bicester. Scott secured another three goals thanks in part to several assists from his brother. That's nine goals in his last two games. The elder Scott got himself on the score sheet as well, but the single goal was scant reward for the good work he'd done up front all game; he deserved more. But the biggest cheer of the game was reserved for Alex Light who scored his first goal for the second team, just reward for solid performances of late at right wing
Next up for the blues is Banbury, a rearranged fixture from the dark cold days of February.
