After winning the toss the visitors decided to have a bat, Zak Critchlow (2-21) struck early but Barrowford found their feet and moved along with ease until the introduction of Andy Dobson and Dave Critchlow. Dobson removed their two top-scoring batsman, whilst Critchlow Snr took 2 cheap wickets in the middle order before Critchlow Jnr came back to break a useful partnership. A couple of late scores saw Barrowford reach a competitive total as they were all out for 154, Critchlow finishing with 4-41 and Dobson with 3-54.
Bingley’s reply got off to a bad start losing an early wicket but an extremely useful partnership between Tim Carrow and Dean Naidoo (29) set up a great run chase. When Carrow departed for a fine 69, a few worries may have come over the Bingley supporters, Dobson had other ideas as he calmly saw Bingley over the line with 6 overs to spare. His unbeaten 31 topped off a great day for him and for the team who now look forward to the final on the 10th August against Haworth Road Methodists with Bingley looking to reverse recent form against their close rivals.
