On the 15th – 17th June, Bees will host the inaugural RugbyRocks Yorkshire, a fusion of mass-participation sports and music.
The festival, brought to you in association with leading sportslifestyle brand PUMA, will host Rugby 7s, 10s, Touch and netball tournaments as well as live music and entertainment. Whether you’re an elite level player or a weekend warrior there is a competition for everyone.
RugbyRocks Yorkshire becomes the third festival in the series which also includes London and Edinburgh. Since the first event in 2010 RugbyRocks has played host to bands such as Feeder, The Pigeon Detectives, The Parlotones and Just Jack.
For those wanting to make a weekend of it there will be an onsite campsite, as well as a live outdoor screening of England vs. Sweden at the UEFA European Championship on Friday night and the England vs. South Africa rugby test match on Saturday afternoon.
PUMA will bring to life its ‘PUMA Social’ campaign at the festivals which pays tribute to the ‘After-Hours Athlete’. The festival will feature its own Puma Social area where players and fans will be able to relax, enjoy DJ sets and rub shoulders with leading rugby stars. The lounge will feature bar games, such as table football and table tennis.
Teams entering RugbyRocks will be entitled to a 15% discount on PUMA rugby kits and PUMA will also be creating the first RugbyRocks merchandise range on sale throughout the year online through www.rugbyrocks7s.com and at the festivals.
