A festival of 7's rugby, netball and top quality music + Bulls legends V Super League Legends game, means it will be an epic weekend.

The three-day Rugby Rocks event at Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club, which starts on Friday, June 15, will feature music from more from than 30 acts including Dub Pistols, Goldie Lookin Chain and Wideboys.

One of the weekend’s highlights will be a match between the Bulls Legends team, including brothers Henry and Robbie Paul and Tevita Vaikona, and the Super League Legends team, including Sean Long, Francis Cummins and Bobbie Goulding.

Proceeds from the game will go the Bradford Bulls’ Quest For Survival campaign, which aims to raise £1 million to secure the club’s future.

The event is one of three Rugby Rocks festivals, the other two being held in London at Richmond Athletic Ground and in Edinburgh at Boroughmuir Rugby Club.

Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club director Dave Morris said the club was approached by Rugby Rocks after last year’s Bingley Music Live festival.

He said: “This will be the first time the event has been held in Yorkshire. We have been planning it and are really looking forward to it. “We have got it because we can provide everything Rugby Rocks required. We are really, really happy about having the festival here, it will be a great event. Teams are coming from all over the place. We also want to do whatever we can to help the Bulls.”

The event will also include rugby sevens, veterans’ rugby, touch rugby league and netball matches. Other music groups taking part include Ti Amo, Broken Hearts, Area40 and Operator 6. There will be screenings of football and rugby union games including England v Sweden in Euro 2012 and South Africa v England. The full line up is listed below.

Tickets for the weekend cost £20 with on-site camping for £30. Tickets to the Legends match cost £10.
