Some Very Familiar Faces Turn Out For The Vets.

The Bees managed to get a Vets side out on Saturday for the first time in a few years.

The squad of 22 players was brought together by James "Foggy" Philips, and was packed with ex 1stXV superstars such as Chris Hemsley, Chris Cummins, Mark Heap, and from the Twickenham years, Baz Clark, Tom Rhodes and Ian Judson. Even Richard "Pretz" Smith found a pair of boots! That's at least 3 ex club captains and a few county players too.

The poor side chosen to face such a team were Old Leo's 4th XV, and they were easily swept aside by the massive score of 15-14!!

Foggy is hoping to carry on this team and is looking for just 1 game a month at the moment. If you would like to offer your playing services or you have a team that wants to take on this mighty side, you can contact him on 07989321806. He will also be looking to recruit at the Past Players re-union on Feb 18th.

With The 1stXV squad having a gym session, the 2nds beating Otley and standing 2nd in their league. The table topping 3rds had their game called off by the opposition. We could have put 4 senior sides out on Saturday, which is something the club has not done in many years. This can only mean good things ahead for the club.
