Bradford Dudley Hill ARLFC and JCT 600 Chevrolet squeeze 17 players into a Chevrolet Aveo!

The weather may have been against them, but the players at Bradford Dudley Hill Rugby League Club were willing to prove that size isn’t everything in a bid to win new kits for their team.

Taking part in a national competition, an amazing 17 members of the Community rugby League club - that is a full match day team - squeezed themselves into a brand new Aveo thanks to local Chevrolet dealer JCT 600.

The rules of the competition are simple – the rugby club with the most team players inside the car, with the doors closed, wins new rugby kits for the entire team – the previous record had been set by 16 rugby players at another club in the UK – so determined to rise to the challenge, Bradford Dudley Hill Rugby League Club players proved there really is always room for one more...

Danny Blamires, sales manager at JCT 600 Chevrolet, based in Sticker Lane, Bradford, said: “It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. The weather was appalling and we were worried as I honestly didn’t know if they could beat the current record, but they did, and we really hope they win!”
