On 23 April 2017 we take on our local rivals Old Rishworthians. Rishworthians have a long and rich history from a Juniors stand point and can claim a string of trophies and representative players throughout the years.

By comparison, Bradford Salem is new money, born out of a want for something new, love for the club game, steeped with pride, wrapped in dedication and reflective of true grass roots rugby.

The Salem side has been together 2 seasons and have played Rish 3 times, a narrow loss at the beginning of last season by 5 points, another close encounter at the end of the season where we were close for 85% of the game then witnessed some great free-flowing rugby from their backs who took the game away from us.

The third encounter was the first game of this season where we won 28 nil, we turned the screws and came away happy that we had made some great gains during the off - season.
