As we pass the half way point of what has been a “wet” season so far, I’d like to bring to your attention our plans for the Annual Dinner & Presentation evening which we hope all players & members will make every effort to attend for what is sure to be another enjoyable evening.

This year’s showpiece event will again be held at The Halifax Golf Club, Ogden on Saturday 29th September with tickets prices frozen at £22.50 per person (note Saturday night not Friday).

As in previous years a 7 for 7:15 meeting will ensure that we can get the formalities moving and allow for plenty of post dinner socialising and dancing. The dress code is Smart Casual (although not too casual, no jeans & trainers!). It’s also worth remembering that £1 of your weekly £5 playing subs goes towards your ticket for the dinner, so the more you’ve played, the more you’ve already paid. Let’s all hope for better weather in the second half of the season so we pay for most of our tickets!

In the coming weeks all we ask is that you let myself or Simon Collins know how many tickets you require and to confirm your menu choices for you are your partner/friend. You can do this by either confirming your meal selections on the menus attached and handing them back to us or emailing your selections to us. It’s also important to highlight any specific dietary requirements (such as food allergies) as it may be difficult to rectify on the night.

When replying please also include Names as you would expect it to appear on a place name card e.g. Mr Bernard Cotton. This is important as it can be embarrassing if we have to put Friend of Mr Cotton for example.
