25th June 2012
To all Members and Friends of BRFC,
Since the AGM in April, the members of the new Executive Committee have been developing a shared vision for the future success of the club and identifying what we see as the key development areas that will direct our work agenda for the next three to five years.
We want to share our conclusions with as many club members and friends of BRFC as we can as the first step in a wider communication and consultation process on how we can work together to secure the future of our club.
Maintaining and building on the proud legacy that we have all inherited in 2012 will certainly require a concerted effort from across the whole club.
The following “BRFC Strategy Summary” sets out the Executive Committee’s thinking and kicks-off what we hope will be a lively and constructive debate.
We look forward to receiving your comments, suggestions and support as we move forward.
Sincerely,
Richard King, on behalf of BRFC Executive Committee, June 2012
Sounds very positive, I just hope people get on board as we can't continue as we have been, I've been in many meetings over the years where members have talked a good game, we need people to start taking on a few roles, you can't have the director of rugby and 2nd team skipper doing 50 jobs including coaching the club plus getting the kit washed/ run the club, Steve and John need help. If everyone at the club takes on just one responsibility we will be getting somewhere. I like yours ideas for the future and is a necessity but from a purely senior view, I think getting 30-40 players training every Tuesday and Thursday, 3-4 sides out every week and a senior Easter tour should be our main priority.
