History
Bridgend Eagles were formed as a breakaway club by the Bridgend based players from Vale Warriors ARFC at the end of the WARFL 2010 season.
Our first two games were friendlies against Vale Warriors at the end of July 2010. The first friendly was an edge-of-seat game, with Eagles taking a large lead into half time, only for the Warriors to come back in the 4th Quarter. Eagles hung on for a 71 to 68 win.
The follow up match was a one-sided affair with Warriors missing a number of players. This match ended at 144 to 73 to Eagles.
With five of our players already picking up Wales caps we are looking forward to our first season in the Welsh Australian Rules Football League in 2011.
