Best foot forward!

This year there are a number of people walking as part of the Hockey Club team in the 2016 Bridgnorth Walk.

The Club has decided that the money raised by those walking will be split, with half going to the Club, and half going to the Air Ambulance. As many of you may be aware, the Club has recently become a designated night time landing site for the Air Ambulance. The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity funds 3 helicopters serving West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire & Welsh borders. Funded entirely by the public, it receives no Government or Lottery funding. £7 million is needed each year to keep it operational. The Air Ambulance covers a large area and although you will hopefully never need it, it is a vital method of emergency treatment.

The team for the club has been organised by Ell Pottinger, who also walked for the Hockey Club last year. All walkers have their own sponsorship forms, but an online Just Giving page is also available for those who wish to donate - https://www.justgiving.com/BridgnorthHockeyClubWalk/

Hopefully the weather will stay dry for Bank Holiday Monday and the walkers will have an an enjoyable day. Thank you to those who have already donated, and of course a massive thank you to those completing the walk (listed below) for the Hockey Club and Air Ambulance.

Elliot Pottinger, James Childs, Lee Allan-Smith, Mark Groves, Cam Wallis, Mel Hill, Ian Gregory, Jasmine Spooner, Matthew Eskdale, Rich Ealey, Paul Morris, Chloe Eyke and Grace Rollings.
