Goals galore for the 5th team!

After last weekend seeing almost all of the matches called off due to the weather, it was good to see teams back in action this weekend.

The Ladies 1sts traveled to Stratford who were one place above them in the table. With Amelia, Lucy, Kate B and Hannah all unavailable it was set to be tough fixture. Yet again the 1sts were helped out by the 2nd team with Yvonne, Kate D, Jayne and Louise P all travelling over after their game. Unfortunately despite battling hard and upping their game in the second half the ladies were unable to find the crucial goal to level the game. They went close at the end though with a goal controversially disallowed. The 1-0 defeat means the the ladies are now looking to bounce back and earn some valuable points at home to Uttoxeter on Saturday (10:30am start).

The Ladies 2nds continued their excellent form with a convincing 10-2 victory over Ludlow/William Brookes 1s. After going 3-0 up in the first few minutes the 2s looked comfortable and were able to add to their tally with goals from Ruth, Maisie Dwane, Tracy Phillips (3) and Jayne (5).

The Men's 1s traveled to local rivals Telford where they ended up the wrong side of the 4-1 scoreline. Match report to follow.

The Men's 2s however recorded a 3-1 victory over Telford, which moved them 6 points clear in the league. Goals came from Greggs, Dan M and Pete Bills-Brown.

The Men's 3s also played Telford and won 4-1. Scorer details to follow.

The Men's 4s scored 9 past Stafford 4s! Hat-tricks from Adam Wheeler and Eykey, KT and Sam B getting one each, and also a debut goal from Luca!

The Men's 5s played the might Blank and enjoyed a rest weekend, whilst the Men's 6s beat Stone 2-1 with goals from Dale and Henry.
