Town started off their FA Cup adventure with a 3-1 win away win at Boldmere St. Michaels. Very early attempts by Karl Griffifths and Tom Southern with a close effort hitting the bar, promised to be an entertaining game for the away fans. Coming back from the break with a nil each score line Town were in complete control during the second half. Town took the lead on the 49th minute from Kev Buxton. 25 minutes later it was followed by an Anwar Olugbon wonder chip with his first touch of the game, just 2 minutes after replacing Karl Griffiths. 7 minutes from time Boldmere pulled one back to create a tense conclusion. Town owed debt to goalkeeper Chris Crook who pulled off a fantastic triple save from which town broke quickly and sealed the victory with a flowing counter attack which resulted with Jason Pike stroking the ball home from 18 yards.
