Brigg 4ths took on Doncaster 6ths and during the first ten minutes Brigg were put under pressure by what proved again to be a stronger side. After conceding two early goals the Brigg side settled and the match was a very even contest until the last 15 minutes when the Brigg side were again under pressure and just could not defend against the quality of the strikers. A brave fight was put up by goal keeper Andrew markham but the strikes were just too powerful and were going high into the netting. The final whistle gave Doncaster the game at 6-0. This game was again a real test for a weakened Brigg side against a strong team that rotated many substitutes as they prepared for the higher leagues.
