Brigg Town's latest pre season friendly saw the Zebra's run out 4-2 winners against visitors Wakefield FC.

Town led 2-0 at the interval after two well worked goals that were nicely finished by skipper Liam Davis.

Greg Archer's close range header just after the restart saw the home side increase their advantage to 3-0 before Wakefield set Briggs nerves jangling with two quickfire goals to reduce the deficit to one with 15 minutes still to play.

Brigg's defence though held firm and the Zebra's settled the match with five minutes remaining, another neat build up allowing substitute Adam Lee to fire home.

Town will face Doncaster side Cask United at the Hawthorns on Tuesday, kicking off at 7.30pm with admission priced at just £1 before the Evo-stik League campaign kicks off next Saturday (18th August) with a long trip to Kidsgrove Athletic
