Rob Watson on tonight’s cup clash against Glasshoughton Welfare.

Glasshoughton Welfare visit The Hawthorns tonight for a NCEL League Cup match. Rob Watson believes Brigg Town will win and advance to the second round of the competition.

“Congratulations to the lads for winning in the FA Cup on Saturday. I couldn’t be there as I was on a course, but I heard they played well.

“I understand Dale Coy was injured in the warm up and he hasn’t recovered yet, but Adam Stevens is back so he’ll be in goal – I know Adam from my time at Winterton Rangers and he’s a good goalie. Thanks to Matt Graves who I hear played well when no usual goalkeepers were there.

“Unfortunately Luke Anderson is still injured, but apparently Paul Grimes and Nathan Plumtree did a really good job so we’ll stick with them up top.

“If we play to our strengths and put in a similar performance tonight we can win again. We’ll just stick to our game plan whilst working hard in and out of possession.

“We want to make our home a real fortress and a difficult place to come to for opponents – tonight we’ll continue to do that.”
