Brigg Town vs Immingham Town Preview

The Zebras’ next pre-season friendly is on Wednesday evening. Paul Grimes was pleased with the last friendlies and hopes for more of the same.

“We are pleased with how pre-season has gone so far. We are happy with current fitness levels and we are now just trying to get people match fit.

“Our performance levels against Scunthorpe and Lincoln were very good and for half a game against South Cave as well. The new lads have come in and settled straight away and have certainly added to the quality already in the squad.

“Immingham will be another opportunity for players to gain fitness and show myself and Scott what they can do. After the Lincoln City game at the weekend we will be working with a squad of 18-20 players moving into the start of the season.

“Nobody is there just to make up the numbers - if you are with us that means you should be pushing for a place in the starting 11. Otherwise it’s a waste of everyone’s time.”
