Last week Brigg hosted Scunthorpe United Academy. Brigg won 3-2 and it was a good start to pre-season. Tomorrow they welcome another young team to The Hawthorns. This time it will be Lincoln United’s U21 side. They’ll be challenging opponents like Scunthorpe’s Academy were. It could be similar to last Saturday’s friendly.
Brigg’s squad will be slightly different. Tom Pearson, Liam Wright and Scott Neary are back. New signing Matty Davies has also been named in the squad. Unfortunately Joe Taylor, Jake Crossland and Cameron Hill are unavailable. There will probably be a lot of roll on substitutions. This nearly always happens in pre-season friendly games.
Both sides are new to the Lincolnshire Football League. Last season Lincoln won the LFA U21 Development League. That’s a good league so they did very well to win it. They’re more than capable of playing in the Lincs League this season. So are Brigg and it promises to be an enjoyable match.
Can the Zebras win again?
