Assistant manager Rob Watson has been looking ahead to Brigg Town's next season.

Firstly, what are your ambitions for next season?

"We want to go straight back up. We feel confident with the players we already have and with a couple more we can do it. The club have backed us as well."

What type of players do you hope to sign before the season kicks off?

"We will only sign players we need. There will be an open trial day as well for us and the reserves. Hopefully we can keep most of the squad from last season and push for promotion."

Are you doing much training this summer and is there anything particular you’ll work on?

"We’ll work a lot on fitness and train as much as we can depending on the lads at work etc. We’ll start at the end of June ready for some games in July."

What sort of teams will you play in pre-season?

"There will be some fitness games to get us ready and a few big ones to get fans in I think. We’re trying to get pro teams and a couple of youth teams at pro level first. Then we’ll play teams like Boston Town and Lincoln United."

Have you got any concerns or is everything perfect?

"It’s always tough going down a league and the expectations will be high. I’m hoping we can keep all the lads."

Finally, what do you owe the fans next season?

"A good season with lots of effort and commitment. We’ll go out each week to fight for the points and do our very best to go straight back up."

Thanks to Rob for his time and best of luck in the coming season.
