Brigg Town head into the game against Thackley on the back of last Saturday’s 2-0 win over Handsworth Parramore at The Hawthorns.
That result was a confidence boost and joint manager Scott Hellewell believes Brigg will avoid relegation.
“We go into the game knowing only a win will do if we have any chance of staying in this league,” said Hellewell, when giving his thoughts on Brigg’s final match of the season.
“After last week’s win against Handsworth Parramore we are going into this game full of confidence and with no midweek game feeling fresh and raring to go.
“We have captain Anthony Bowsley away for this game and a couple of players carrying knocks, but hopefully all will be available for the game.
“It’s important we just concentrate on our own performance on Saturday and make sure we do all we can to win the game. If that happens that’s when we can look at other scores and see where it has left us in the league.
“We hope there will be as many Brigg fans travelling to the game as possible as we need their support. All the players and management would like to thank them for their continued support in what has been a difficult season.
He added: “We hope we can repay their faith on Saturday and give everything possible to stay in this league.”
