Rangers started strong as they traded blows with a well matched Stanley team. Josh Riley broke the deadlock out wide and converted before Stanley bounced back. Robbie Butterworth rocketed through to score before Luke Hopkin got over for a deserved score after a super run at the start of the set. Another Stanley reply and a Josh Riley second made it 18-8 at half time. Stanley mounted good pressure in the second half and pushed Brighouse hard so good defence work was on display with Finbarr leading the way with hard hits. Another Stanley try before Josh Riley completed his hat-trick and Veron Dhesi added the extras. Robbie Butterworth made a fantastic tackle in the corner but a Stanley try was awarded so from the re-start he took the first run and darted his way through to get his second. Final score 28-16.
