Rangers just miss out
Rangers just scraped 11 together to play Guisley so it was full games all around. Guisley struck first after a defensive lapse but then Lucas Birts finished off a great move in the corner. After two Guisley trys and goals Josh Riley jinxed his way through and added the extras for a 10-16 half time score. Rangers tightened up their defence and got back into the game moving the ball well, Jordan “Buster” Hema got his first ever try with a powerful surge down the left and blasted home the conversion. Guisley took the lead again Josh Riley grabbed his second after a great high ball take and dash by Jack Wake who converted the try. As the teams continued to trade blows a Guisley try was followed by Will Clerehugh finding space through some excellent support play. At 26 all Guisley finished strong, the Rangers defence was good till the last tackle as the visitors got three late scores to run in 42-26 winners.
