Brighouse Town Reserve team Manager Mark Booth has decided to step down from his post.

Brighouse Town reserve team Manager Mark Booth has decided to step down from his post. Mark has been in charge of the Reserves for four highly successful seasons but feels now is the right time to step aside and devote more time to his young family.
Mark’s first season in charge along with his No: 2 Daz Laycock was 2005/6, when the team were WRCAL Reserve Division Runners-up, League Cup winners and also winners of the prestigious West Riding Challenge Trophy. In 2006/7 they were Div 2 runners-up but were not promoted due to the League being restructured, so the following season they completed the Div 2 League and Cup double.
Last season Mark’s Reserve side played in the WRCAL Premiere Division as the first team had moved up to the NCEL, and saw a season of consolidation in the League and a fantastic run in the Halifax Cup only to be beaten in extra time in the final at the Shay.
As well as having more time to spend with his family, Mark is hoping he will have some spare time away from the day to day running of the team to be able to attend coaching courses and expand his knowledge and experience of the game with a view to getting back into management sometime in the future.
Brighouse Town would like to put on record their thanks to Mark Booth for the fantastic work he has put into the Club both on and off the field and the important part he has played in its history.
The Club are inviting applications for the Reserve Team Managers position and any person interested should contact Secretary Malcolm Taylor on 07884182970.
