Brighton and Hove Crescent Cricket Club is an amateur non-league cricket club. This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use our Pitchero site or Facebook Group or provide information via any other means (e.g. articles or surveys).

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register on our Pitchero site and/or when you complete our Junior player information form. We may also collect information when you voluntarily complete surveys or communicate with the club or Committee for any reason. Website usage information is collected by Pitchero using web cookies. The club has no access to such data.
Pitchero.com is compliant with the relevant data protection legislation, and their privacy policy may be viewed at https://www.pitchero.com/privacy-policy.

How will we use the information about you?

With respect to your registered Club Pitchero Account, we collect information about you, from you, only to manage your website account and, if you agree, to send you emails concerning Club events, team selections, news related to the Club.

We do not pass on your personal information to our partner associations without your permission in writing. We will not share your information for marketing purposes with any companies. We may forward information to you on behalf of the Horsdean Community Sports Association from time to time.

Information collected from you may be duplicated in some cases for the use of Team Captains, and Officers of the club, notably the Team Secretary and Social Secretary. In particular, the relevant Team Captain will have access to Junior Information forms which contain emergency information, contact information of next of kin and medical information for the sole purpose of your health and safety.

In this Junior Information form we ask that you give consent that in an emergency situation the club may act in your place if the need arises for the administration of emergency first aid and/or other medical treatment which in the opinion of a qualified medical practitioner may be necessary. We also ask for your consent that in such an occurrence all reasonable steps will be taken to contact the Next of Kin (as entered in this form).

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please contact the club secretary via the Pitchero club site.

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. All members are expected to review and correct their personal information to ensure details are up to date from time to time.

We keep our privacy policy under regular review and we will place any updates on this web page. This privacy policy was last updated on 14th May 2018.

Data Protection policy

Brighton and Hove Crescent Cricket Club, its Officers and Committee need to collect and use certain types of information about the club members in order to run the activities of the Cricket Club. This personal information must be collected and dealt with appropriately whether is collected on paper, stored in a computer database, or recorded on other material and there are safeguards to ensure this under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Compliance
Brighton and Hove Crescent cricket club is committed to protecting the rights and privacy of all individuals and to operate in accordance with the statutory legislation outlined within the Data Protection Act 1998.
Thus:
• Personal data are collected by, and stored in, a compliant electronic system provided by Pitchero
• the quality of the data is reviewed periodically and at least annually
• for operational reasons, parts of the stored data (usually email addresses and phone numbers) will be held on electronic devices by Officers and/or match captains. These devices will be password protected and the individuals holding data are reminded of the need for maintaining data privacy at annual meetings
• Any data held on paper, including Junior Member Information forms, will be held in suitable files and kept securely.
Sharing of data
Data will not be shared with any other organisation without specific consent from an individual unless:
• Carrying out a legal duty or as authorised by the Secretary of State
• Protecting vital interests of an Individual Member or other person
• The Individual Member has already made the information public
• Conducting any legal proceedings, obtaining legal advice or defending any
• legal rights

Data retention
Any member may ask for all data relating to them to be deleted on leaving the club.
The Member database will be reviewed annually, prior to the AGM, by the Honorary Secretary and Members who have had no contact with the club for a period of two years will be sent an email to identify if they wish to continue to be associated with Brighton and Hove Crescent CC. In the absence of a reply, data relating to that individual will be deleted.
