Supporters at The Meadow were delighted to see so many goals on a Saturday afternoon. Lee Pritchard with four, Andy Boot two, Matt Blythe and Will Flower with one a piece.
The game belonged to the team’s youngsters. The clubs future looks promising with players like Scott Mortimer, Will Flower, Joe Woodley and Luke Fletcher all put in great performances.
After the first ten minutes the home side had to defend well as Cricklades young team started fast. The back four and James Crowest (goalkeeper) kept them at bay until the Lily-whites went one up. The half finished with six goals. Cricklade Town came out second half hoping to bring a bit of pride back to their team.
By full time two more goals had gone in and Brimscombe & Thrupp had gone up to second. Man of the match awards went to youngsters Scott Mortimer and Will Flower.
