Local rugby guru/photographer/celebrity John White recently gave Saracens more to celebrate by awarding them 'Club of the Season' for the 2013/14 campaign. Head coach Ben Massey also got a mention in the Coach of the Season category. Even more pleasing was that it wasn't just the efforts of the 1st XV commended, but the 2nds, 3rds and juniors too. It is nice to be appreciated for all the hard work that goes on, on and off the pitch and that our tight-knit, family ethos is recognised by those on the outside too.

Touch rugby starts tonight, 18:45 at the club, to blow the cobwebs out and the real hard work starts next week (Tuesday 17th) when pre-season commences. Hopefully we can build on what was a truly memorable 13/14 season.

1st XV pre-season games have been announced against Old Reds, Avonmouth and Berry Hill - with probably one more 'club game' to be arranged. I will keep you posted with any details.
