Britannia Sports AFC kick off their West Riding County Amateur Football League Premier Division 17/18 campaign on Saturday (12th August) with a home game against Division One champions Thornton United, with a 2.30pm kick off at Paddock Cricket Club.

With results in pre-season being mixed, its not an ideal starter for Rodney Rowe's first competitive game in charge but one that the team will look forward to measuring their progress from last season in which Thornton beat Britannia 7-1 at their ground and 4-1 at Paddock.

With new signings galore for both teams this season, it will be an interesting and entertaining match with both clubs moving from Division 1 to Premier this season.

All players, supports and affiliates of the club are welcome to come and support their team on the first game of the season.
