its with great sadness i have to report the passing of one of the clubs great players and Vice President Mick 'Crunchy' Morris.

Mick departed these shores 8 years ago to work in the far east but always had an interest in the club and always wanted to be updated on what was going on.

Mick joined the club (BOAC) as an apprentice back in the sixties and as a back row was formidable player both on the physical and skill side. Many opposite numbers regretted questioning his parentage with a formidable right hander coming their way. Mick was also a gentleman and having gravitated to the front row played until he was 56 when he finally called it a day.

Those of you who knew him will remember his passion for port and a good sing song (although always out of tune)

Having been associated with the club for 37 years myself, Mick was probably unquestionably one of the best players and club members we ever had.

He would have loved the game on Saturday and i'm sure you'll join us in having a few beers and some good wins to honor his passing -he would have loved that.

Chairman Baz.
