Interservices 2011
Army Mens: unofficial winners of the Interservices 2011
On 11 June 2011 the Army Mens team took part in the Interservices. Unfortunately due to a ruling that this event could only be participated in by Regular serving personnel, and the fact that the Army team did not have enough of these, we had to pull out of the running for the title.
This however did not stop us beating the RAF 3-2 in the first game of the day, and the Navy 7-2 later in the day. We rounded off our festival with a heavy loss against a very good Greater Manchester Police team.
Hopefully next year, the team will be able to participate in the tournament proper, and prove to the RAF what we already know, the Army are better than they are.
