MATCH PREVIEW: Away at the Griff as Brocton look for points on the road

3 months ago By Adam Checkley

We face a trip to Nuneaton in search of an elusive away win

It's a trip across to Warwickshire today as we head to Nuneaton Griff (pitch inspection 9am) to another team in and around our position.

The Badgers head a with a squad including the return of Shaan Stuart from Tuesday's game vs Heath Hayes, but missing Connor McCarthy and Kenny Devoir. Sam will be looking to eradicate a habit of scoring first only to see ourselves pegged back and points going the way of the opposition.

Griff head into the game on the back of a 4-1 loss at home the last time out to Cadbury Athletic, but a win at Heath Hayes the game before this. Consistency has been their nemesis this season with form coming and going, hence their current position just three places above the Badgers.

However, with just 6 points separating the teams but with Brocton holding 4 games in hand, it is sure to be a close one today. Worth watching out for Luke Delaney, Nuneaton's most praised player for opposition man of the matches this season.

Badgers fight back but Heath Hayes win the derby Heath Hayes 3 Brocton 2 - despite taking the lead, the Badgers lose away to Heath Hayes.
