With a new streamlined boat for the 2015 Union canal race, club members Chris and Rhys had high hopes about the possibility of winning the event and building on their silver medal from last year.

However shortly after the first knockout round began and with the guys shooting out into a clear lead . Tragedy fell upon them with Rhys suffering a grade four level tear to his shoulder muscle and being unable to paddle, he was dropped off at the side before Chris paddled solo to cross the finish line.

Unlucky guys better luck next year.
