Club stalwart Duncan Nicolson hangs up his boots after 18 seasons at Wardie.

Players past and present offered a Guard of Honour for Duncan Nicolson who Captained his side to a 38-11 victory over Walkerburn in his final game for the Club.

Duncan joined Broughton from Linlithgow in 1997, playing his first game for his new team v Falkirk in the 2nd XV, where he spent the bulk of his first season at Wardie. His 1st XV debut as a dynamic No.8 came against Orkney and has been an integral part of the squad since.

Nicolson, who Captained the side in 2003/04, also featured heavily in the Edinburgh Accies 1st XV in the same season, playing several games at Prop whilst helping the Raeburn Place men win Premiership 3.

It's perhaps fitting then that the club legend ends his Broughton career on a high with Doug McClure's side securing promotion to East 2 and signing off with maximum points on his home ground.

Well done Duncan and thanks for all your commitment and effort over the years.
