'Park's 1st team went into the game against Aspatria with a changed team from the last game. Both wings were unavailable and Props Jake Smith and Pedr Jones were injured so Veteran Guy Barlow getting back to full fitness had his first start of the season on the 1sts. With Dave Hanby and Steve Kiely out Dave Rodgers came in at flank forward with 'Park choosing to play two opensides.
Man of the Match was wing Warren Duffy making his first start in a league game this season scored three cracking tries with 4 other tries coming at regular intervals. Ronan O'Brien converted them from everywhere on the field. The new half back partnership of Kit Brammer and Jonny Thomas worked well and 'Park seemed to get quicker ball when the No.8's feet didn't get in the way.
Aspatria took advantage of 'Park's mistakes to mount pressure for long periods in the 1st half but could not score.
The 2nds denuded of many players from the team last week because of calls from the 1st team and unavailabilities went down to Lymm.
The 3rds played Sefton 2 who are now in 2nd place in the league. Again let down by a no show starting with only 14 players.
The 4ths continue to find the their new higher league hard going losing away to Bowdon 2 who's 1st team is just one league below 'Park's 1st team.
The 5th team travelled to much improved North Manchester 2 and after a hard fought game lost 40 - 26. They are now in the black pointswise.
Can't compete, let alone win games without PLAYERS!!
