Woeful Park put to the sword.

Park crashed to a sixth successive defeat, after an inept first half display against a robust Leigh side. Final score 0 - 31.

Such was Leigh's confidence, they gave up home advantage in order to play a Park team that is currently low on confidence.

The first half was a completely one sided affair, as Leigh playing with a very strong wind at their backs completely dominated proceedings.
Park contributed to their own downfall as they fell off tackles, surrendered the gain line in almost every contact situation, made poor decisions and looked completely bereft of ideas.

Leigh ran in 4 tries and secured the bonus point victory within the first 25 minutes, before Park finally decided to compete with their opponents.

At half time and already 0 - 26 down some strong words were said, there was an improvement at the contact area but the damage had already been done.
The howling gale that had been a huge advantage to Leigh in the first half was now a mere wimper, that was to match the Park performance.
Whilst the second half saw a slight improvement, Park still failed to create any real chances and Leigh were able to force a 5th try 5 minutes from time to put a final nail in the Park coffin.

Small positives were the return of Ade Titiloye, but without any platform or ball one of the league's most prolific wingmen was left largely redundant. Jonny Thomas also returned and Park also hope to welcome back Fergal Touhey for next weeks trip to Rochdale.

The 2's gave their all but eventually succumbed to an impressive Preston Grasshoppers 2's 0 - 49

The 3's were also competitive throughout before going down 0 - 32

The 4's traveled to Liverpool coll, and found life very tough against the league leaders, going down 0 - 84

BUT the 5's were able to bring some joy to the clubhouse as they progressed in the cup by beating Ashton U Lyne 51 - 0.

A slightly worrying aspect is the lack of points amongst the top teams but credit again must go to the few who made it possible to put out 5 teams again and allow over 80 players to represent Park this weekend.

A huge thank you also to the girls in the kitchen and the ground committe who made it possible to host 4 games at home.
